Your journey to better health

Stay healthy this holiday season!

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and shortly after that, the December holiday season will be in full swing. For many people, the holiday season can be a hard time to stay healthy - and we are here to help! Here are just some of the ways we can support you and your body through November and December:

Help Manage Stress
For many, the holidays can be a stressful time, with very full schedules, financial pressures, and challenging family or friend dynamics. This is why is it important to maintain a regular self-care program to help your body manage stress better. We can't change the stressors, but can help you to live through them without them affecting you so much. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs can help the body to process stress more easily so you feel less symptoms; massage helps to alleviate stress-related tension throughout the body; reflexology and craniosacral help to relax the nervous system so you aren't so tightly wound; and meditation practice can help you maintain equanimity amid the chaos.

Improve Digestion
The holiday season is a time when many of us find ourselves eating more than usual, or different foods at different times than our body is accustomed to. Acupuncture, Herbs, and Reflexology can help to regulate digestion and improve symptoms such as bloating, reflux, irregular bowel movements, stomach cramping, and pain.

Relieve Tension
For some, physical activities are different than usual during the holiday season - maybe you cook more, or find yourself on your feet more than usual with holiday shopping, or go on a ski trip or other active vacation. These changes in posture required by different activities can lead to lots of muscle tension and even pain. Massage, cupping, and acupuncture are great ways to relieve soreness, tension, and pain in the muscles.

Improve Energy
Many find the holidays a particularly exhausting time. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine can boost energy to leave you less fatigued this season. If the tiredness is related to lack of sleep, both acupuncture, reflexology, and craniosacral therapy can help to regulate and promote for restful sleep, leaving you feeling renewed and refreshed!

Boost Immunity
There is really nothing worse than being sick with a cold or flu over the holidays. So taking steps to boost immune function is key! Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine can boost immunity and also treat colds or flus in the early stages to prevent them from becoming stronger. Ayurvedic consultations teach you do-it-yourself steps to take at home to boost your own body's strength and function.
