Marcie Bower, Lic.Ac, MAOM, Dipl. OM

Co-Owner

Marcie founded Stepping Stone Acupuncture & Wellness in 2010 to provide acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and associated wellness therapies to individuals and families in Wellesley.

Marcie received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest college of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the United States. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and the New York Department of Education  to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and holds a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a winner of the Tsay Fellowship Award for Excellence in the Art and Science of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Marcie has treated patients with many different health conditions in a variety of clinical settings, including community health centers, public health projects, inpatient and outpatient hospital clinics, and private practice.

Marcie treated patients at Stepping Stone for 10 years, before shifting out of the office in 2021 when her family relocated. Marcie now provides business development, clinic oversight, administrative support, and practitioner support. She works hard to ensure the smooth functioning of Stepping Stone so that all our amazing practitioners can do the important work that they do best. She also occasionally subs for the acupuncturists at Stepping Stone, so you may see her in the office from time to time!

Outside of the office, Marcie enjoys spending time with her husband Karl and their two young children, as well as running, practicing yoga, reading, spending time outside, and trying to get her 3 mischievous cats to behave.

What patients are saying

Marcie is just wonderful and the work we are doing together is making a big difference in my life. I have seeing her since the early spring and working on issues such as headaches, lower back pain, grief issues, as well as some recent trouble with psoriasis. I now am psoriasis free. I feel optimistic that all things good can come from this amazing place and acupuncture.
